Halloween was fun, I was Athena, she is a Greek goddess. We went to school dressed up and when we came home we carved pumpkins and watched halloween clips and ate cookies :) Miss Sarah is typing this for me and just taught me the smiley face :) I'm going to do lots of smiley faces :) :) :) :) :) ... yeah that's good.

lots of time has passed. and i need to blog about this but i don't want to. well, let's just say hannah went to get stitches, and i ended up watching, and since then ,i get pale at the sight of any cut. i fainted, threw up, and got the life squeezed out of me by hannah. anyway, we are having spicy nacho bake for dinner and i am excited about that.

today i realized i am being a very bad blogger. i have to write a really long post because so much has happened and i don't have time to do it. for a couple of things abbs and hann are here,abbie has left, the teachers, are here, school has started, and the richardsons are here.

the trip to get abby and hannah was not soo event ful. we got them, had a good time, and i finished harry potter and the chamber of secerets after devouring the first one in twenty-four hours. well,the trip back was the most eventful trip i have ever had and may ever have. for one thing, i was squished in the car, in the same seat as hannah, with a screaming baby, and about ready to fall into a ditch. i spent the first half with abby which was very upseting to a complaining hannah who was whining about abby getting the longer trip,well, lets just say she was wrong-by a landslide!! the brige collapsed and so we were stuck in about 9 hours of traffic and a screaming baby. so we got home at about 1:oo a.m.

also hannah and i started a club where we share a diary and switch it every day. we also have friendship neaklaces and a secret box belonging to the club.

shmancakes pankakes, is what we are having for dinner tonight! PANKAKES!! YUMMMM!!! the teachers are moved into their house and it is finally just our family.

today i accomplished several things. i drove for an hour to find out that our village wasn't having church, hiked two thirds of a mile to figure out another church wasn't having church, and then they did- for three hours! then we walked through a river to get to our car. how wonderful!

ok i know i have been a horrible blogger,but please don't hold it against me. i haven't had much time-well,actually i have but some things are just more fun than blogging. also i would like to make it clear that i do not post at to in the morning,the blog just thinks we're in america.

anyway, i am doing good. i have started piano. it is not always fun but it will be soooo much easier to learn it now than when i'm older.

i am happy for two reasons. #1 i am having a wonderful lasagna[ and that is why the title is the title] for dinner tonight and found a chocolate cake in the frige and am going to have a BIG piece after dinner. #2 i get to go with daddy to accra to get abby and hannah!!!!! i am very,very and 100 times more very happy about that.

ok,i am really need to blog but i am sooooo stinkin' tired. i have been a really bad blogger. we are almost finished with vacation. we already went to the 'grove'. i went to the mall and got the 'high school musical' soundtrack. i just need the second soundtrack and i will have a complete collection. i am listening to it right now. ok i will update tomorow i hope. now i have to check some movies for the movie theater and take a shower.

Evala is a big deal in Togo. it is like a coming of age cerimony. Everyone does it. that is all the boys do it. i went yesterday with brett, the interns, matt, and grace. it was soooo cool. i was like 10 yards away from the president! i was going to faint it was so cool! it started with everyone dancing and then they started to fight. also in ghana obama. i would've loved to meet him. i was the closest i have ever been and probably ever will be in my life. it was soo exiting!!!

Well, Abbie is here now. She is really nice. I also got my chocos from lands end. They are pink. They fit perfectly. I also ate all the fruit snacks before anyone could take them away.

Well it's just after french. When I'm done i need to go clean up the junk-chamber,A.K.A. my bedroom. Also, Mr.Randy Alderman's daughter,Stephanie, is coming to see us. It's kinda weird because i haven't seen her since i was 4 and out of nowhere she calls when i am 10 and says she wants to see us! yikes! All i remember is that she was my baby-sitter and her dad knows how to drive planes.

Also Uncle Jim's bus broke down and none of us blame him for not wanting to take a bush taxi. they fill those things till people are sitting on the top till they say they're full!!

Well,today is a day off. The girls and I are going to the market today. Allison and Maleah both want these purses and I think Chealsea is just going to go.

We also got a package from my grandparents. I got some hair stuff, a detroit tigers jersey,lip gloss, nail polish,and an apple note pad. We also got some movies for the whole family.

I am exited for the fourth of july party. I wish we had some fireworks. Then it would be a real party.

When I lived in america, we would have a family reunion at the lake. It would be my moms family. We would rent a lake side cabin and when the fourth came, we would go down and swim in the lake to watch the fireworks. I miss my St. Louis family.

Today we are going to a village called Ketao with the girl interns. I do not know all the details of what we are going to do, but I think it will be fun. After that we will do a craft or a movie or something. Then we will go to the orphanage. This morning we introduced our littlest pet shop and webkinz to Allison,Maleah,and Chealsea. Chealsea said she liked my gecko,Dr. Geico,and my turtles,Skwirt,Turt and Violet. We also had a magical dinner last night. It was intern make-a-meal. Matt and Maleah made chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and bread. BUT, before you say this meal is better, you have to hear dessert!!!!! Ready? Ok,it was brownies with vinilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce. MMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

well things are going well here. Yesterday we went to the orphanage. I had a better time then usual. The first thing that was different was that we had our lesson under the tree which was alot cooler than in the building where we usually do it. The second thing was Jacob,Maleah, and Chealsea went with us. We also had a short lesson and then we played wifel ball. At the end of the game I went to play on a bunch of rocks with my african friends. This morning I am wearing a blue tank top, a hot pink skirt, black tights, and a side pony tail. Now that I think about it , it seems kinda retro to me.

Inturns\ granddaddy jack

Right now we have inturns. Inturns are college students who come and live with us during the summer to see how we live. We have 4 boys and 3 girls. We also have some friends in the states who go to a bible study with some people who have a daughter named Abigail who has been going to, i think ,India for the past few years and is now going to visit here and live with us. she is coming in july and is going to stay later than everyone else and go to the beach with us.

I would also like to say happy birthday to great-granddaddy Jack. He is turning 90 on Monday. He is 90 and can still drive and doesn't always have to wear his glasses. LOVE YOU GRANDDADDY JACK!!!

Hannah is one of my 3 best friends here in kara. Recently she turned 10. At her birthday some people brought real live horses! I rode a horse named Sabrina. After the horses,we had cup cakes and ice cream. Then, we played Pony Pony Horse. It was like duck duck goose exept with horses. After that, we had presents. We gave her a pink webkinz horse. Then we played and had a cookout. It was fun!

my birthday was a sleep over. Abby and Hannah got to come. I had a strawberry cake with strawberry icing and strawberry sprinkles. I had tea lite candles instead of normal ones because yuo cannot get them here in africa. We gave our build-a-bears a fake bath,because if they are build-a-bears you cannot put them in real water. Then we watched Pollyanna. Then hannah had to leave. So only abby slept over. In the morning, we had mini cinnomen rolls and played barbies. It was the best 10th birthday sleepover ever!
