Evala

Evala is a big deal in Togo. it is like a coming of age cerimony. Everyone does it. that is all the boys do it. i went yesterday with brett, the interns, matt, and grace. it was soooo cool. i was like 10 yards away from the president! i was going to faint it was so cool! it started with everyone dancing and then they started to fight. also in ghana obama. i would've loved to meet him. i was the closest i have ever been and probably ever will be in my life. it was soo exiting!!!

4 days

4 days left till the interns leave. The summer went by speedy fast. I soooo want to get to the beach already! This time we are going to have a full house. We are also going to take Abbie on safari. we are going to Mole. it is a game park in ghana. i know this is short but i really gotta nap.

Well, Abbie is here now. She is really nice. I also got my chocos from lands end. They are pink. They fit perfectly. I also ate all the fruit snacks before anyone could take them away.

Iam about to go to joshua's house to play. They got some new people on their team. They are americans too. well gotta go.

Well it is a cool morning today. That is a good thing because it means rain. right now i am watching ''Mariposa'' with Michal and mama. I am at the part where the sckezite swallows the lite. Good greif! attendants and advisors can be trouble! Plus my dad found out about the fruit snacks! He said''they've found out now! I wondered what that fruity smell was!''

Ridin' The Bush Taxi

Well it's just after french. When I'm done i need to go clean up the junk-chamber,A.K.A. my bedroom. Also, Mr.Randy Alderman's daughter,Stephanie, is coming to see us. It's kinda weird because i haven't seen her since i was 4 and out of nowhere she calls when i am 10 and says she wants to see us! yikes! All i remember is that she was my baby-sitter and her dad knows how to drive planes.

Also Uncle Jim's bus broke down and none of us blame him for not wanting to take a bush taxi. they fill those things till people are sitting on the top till they say they're full!!

Citizen Madeline K. ,for three weeks, has been hiding two half eaten fruitie's fruit snacks for exactly 21 days. ''I thought they would find out by the second day'' says maddie. '' I was wrong!''

Yesterday I went to a fourth of july party. After that,we came home and did a ''jumping on the trampoline'' photo shoot. ANYTHING FOR THE FOURTH!!!!!! [sorry,inside joke with the girls]

Well,today is a day off. The girls and I are going to the market today. Allison and Maleah both want these purses and I think Chealsea is just going to go.

We also got a package from my grandparents. I got some hair stuff, a detroit tigers jersey,lip gloss, nail polish,and an apple note pad. We also got some movies for the whole family.

I am exited for the fourth of july party. I wish we had some fireworks. Then it would be a real party.

When I lived in america, we would have a family reunion at the lake. It would be my moms family. We would rent a lake side cabin and when the fourth came, we would go down and swim in the lake to watch the fireworks. I miss my St. Louis family.

another typical day

Today we are going to a village called Ketao with the girl interns. I do not know all the details of what we are going to do, but I think it will be fun. After that we will do a craft or a movie or something. Then we will go to the orphanage. This morning we introduced our littlest pet shop and webkinz to Allison,Maleah,and Chealsea. Chealsea said she liked my gecko,Dr. Geico,and my turtles,Skwirt,Turt and Violet. We also had a magical dinner last night. It was intern make-a-meal. Matt and Maleah made chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and bread. BUT, before you say this meal is better, you have to hear dessert!!!!! Ready? Ok,it was brownies with vinilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce. MMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!
